From a workshop to the industrial world, always bearing the flag of our enterprising region.
It’s the story of a family company that has never been afraid of looking toward the future and thinking big.
It’s the story of our founder, Italo Galli, and his imprint on the company’s DNA, based on the importance of employees , grown and valued through investment in training and on the will to “never lose a customer”.
Elettromeccanica Galli Italo was born on January 1st, 1954 in Erba (Lombardy) as a small craftman’s workshop, in the ferment of the after-war rebuilding and in the enterprising substrate of the Brianza area, a land of tenacious and and cunning entrepreneurs.
The founder was the 25-year-old Italo Galli, an apprentice and worker in the world of electrical installation since early age. The company immediately stood out for its quality and its steady growth: the following year it boasted six employees and started working on industrial electrical plants.
Elettromeccanica Galli Italo becomes a large-scale installer, acquiring new market areas and moving from a local stage to a regional and then national level.
While the company develops and enhances its capacities, technical office and site organization, the Public Works Ministry certifies the presence of Elettromeccanica Galli Italo in the National Builders’ Registry.
The 80’s years marked the consolidation of the company and the computerization revolution of the technical and administrative operations. In this period Elettromeccanica Galli Italo widened its range of services in order to meet any customer’ s need.
Elettromeccanica Galli Italo becomes one of the first Italian companies to obtain the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification, consolidating its leadership in the installation market and largely increasing its turnover (from 53.5 billion liras in 1994 to 63.8 billion liras in 1996).
The growth of the company never stops. With the aim of increasing the turnover and widening the market horizon from Italy to Europe, Elettromeccanica Galli Italo signs a partnership agreement with the French company Forclum, sector leader in France, entering the international Eiffage group. Eiffage is one of the top six groups in Europe in the field of civil infrastructure, private and public works, electrical and mechanical installations and integrated technological management.
The company also expands its activity in the water-sanitary and air-conditioning systems.
To rationalize and complete its services and to ensure the same quality level in any kind of system, Elettromeccanica Galli Italo incorporates the Mazzilli & C. company, that becomes the Electrical Switchboards Division.
The Electrical Switchboards Division (certified UNI EN ISO 9001) was a crucial incorporation, since it brings a consolidated experience in the production of electrical cabinets and LV switchboards..
